An Austria-wide mask obligation will, for the time being, not be implemented. But: The freedom of travel will be restricted due to increasing corona numbers.
Chancellor Kurz together with Health Minister Anschober and Foreign Minister Schallenberg will present today, Wednesday, further procedures regarding corona.
It is expected that the relaxed travel regulations will be tightened again. This is likely to affect the Western Balkans. Stricter regulations could also apply to Romania.
According to reports, the rules for mouth and nose protection will remain unchanged. This means that the mask is still compulsory in clinics, in pharmacies or in public places. In addition, there will probably be an appeal to personal responsibility.
This is not to be expected. According to AGES 749 there are indeed regional clusters. On the other hand, entire provinces (Carinthia, Salzburg and Vorarlberg) are reported corona-free.
