The Ministry of Health is planning the next expansion stage for the “Green Passport” for next week: In addition to certificates on coronavirus tests and recovery from a Covid 19 infection, it will then also be possible to create and retrieve vaccination certificates with EU-compliant QR codes via gesundheit.gv.at. Currently, the conversion is underway, and the first vaccination certificates have already been created, said a spokeswoman for Minister Wolfgang Mückstein in response to an APA query.

The maintenance work necessary for the conversion of the system has then also ensured that the site gesundheit.gv.at was not accessible for several hours yesterday, she confirmed a report by the daily newspaper “Österreich” and at the same time asked for understanding that with such complex IT projects, restrictions could occur at times.
On gesundheit.gv.at, the convalescence or test certificates can be downloaded in the EU standard with a cell phone signature or citizen card. Next week, EU-compliant vaccination certificates will also be available via this channel.
