Compulsory winter tires in force

As of Monday, the “situational winter equipment requirement” for cars and trucks up to 3.5 tons will once again come into effect. Drivers in Austria must be on the road with winter tires or have snow chains mounted on at least two drive wheels in snow, slush or ice from Nov. 1.
