Seven thousand four hundred eight new infections with the coronavirus have been registered in Austria in the past 24 hours. This is below the average of 9,405 cases per day over the past seven days, according to figures from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Interior (as of 9:30 a.m. Sunday).
Seven-day incidence drops to 733 cases in Austria.
The seven-day incidence thus dropped to 733.1 cases per 100,000 population. Thirteen people have died in association with the covid disease since yesterday.
As of Easter Sunday, there were 132,507 active cases in Austria, down 6,176 from the previous day. So far, 4,053,217 infections with SARS-CoV-2 have been confirmed in Austria since the pandemic began. Three million nine hundred four thousand two hundred ninety people have since been reported as recovered, with 13,571 registered as retrieved in the past 24 hours.

Lower Austria again reported the newest infections with 1,989, ahead of Vienna with 1,840 and Upper Austria with 1,118. Seven hundred eighty-five new conditions were registered in Styria, 398 in Carinthia, 365 in Burgenland, 352 in Tyrol, 300 in Salzburg, and 261 in Vorarlberg. Lower Austria is also the only province where the seven-day incidence is still – above 1,000; on Sunday, it was 1,004.2. Vienna was also still in four digits on Saturday but dropped to 973.0 by Sunday.
