In Austria, all entry restrictions imposed due to the pandemic have been dropped. Today, no more 3-G proof is required when entering the country. For the first time since the pandemic, holidaymakers, travel returnees, and other visitors worldwide can now enter Austria without any restrictions. The new entry regulations issued by the Ministry of Health came into force at midnight.
The previous entry rules for virus variant areas remain officially in place, but no country is currently on the list of states with a very high epidemiological risk. Should a new virus variant emerge, this could quickly result in the re-imposition of testing, registration, and quarantine obligation for certain countries.
